Delivery & Transit Protection
Standards for high-value gadget delivery, tracking, handoff records and transit claims.
High-value delivery
High-value gadgets need stronger delivery records than a basic parcel handoff. Eligible protected orders can record the delivery provider, tracking reference, delivery verification time and relevant transaction-protection events.
Packaging and handoff
- Use packaging appropriate for the device and route.
- Record the item and package condition before dispatch when required by the transaction flow.
- Keep the tracking reference and handoff evidence.
- Do not replace or alter the device after a protected inspection without recording the change.
Delivery verification
Where supported, delivery verification records when the package reaches the intended recipient or an authorised handoff point. A delivery event is evidence of handoff; it is not by itself a finding that the device is authentic or free from defects.
Loss, damage or substitution
If a package is lost, materially damaged or appears to contain a different item, the buyer or seller should report it through the official order support route immediately and preserve packaging, labels, photos, videos, tracking information and the original listing.
Insurance
Insurance is a separate contractual service. Gadget Trade should only describe a shipment as insured when an applicable insurance or delivery-protection policy has actually been issued or confirmed for that shipment.
