1. Device identifiers

Eligible listings can record an IMEI, serial number or both. Gadget Trade uses protected representations for verification workflows and avoids unnecessarily publishing full device identifiers in public listing content.

2. Verification states
  • Not checked — no verification result has been recorded.
  • Pending — a configured check is being processed.
  • Verified — the configured source returned a positive result.
  • Flagged — the result requires review.
  • Unavailable — an authoritative check could not be completed.
3. Stolen and blocked-device checks

Gadget Trade prohibits stolen or unlawfully obtained gadgets. When an authorised device-status or blacklist provider is configured, the result, provider reference and timestamp can be recorded against the listing. A missing provider result is never treated as a clean result.

4. Identifier privacy

Users must not publish full IMEI or serial values in public descriptions, comments or ordinary chat. Support and verification workflows may request the identifier when necessary for a legitimate marketplace review.

5. Verification limits

A database result is time-specific and does not establish legal title by itself. If a device is later reported, altered or associated with a new restriction, a previous result does not guarantee a permanent status.

6. Scope and application

This policy applies to the Gadget Trade marketplace features and transactions to which the policy is relevant. It should be read together with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, marketplace safety rules, payment and dispute policies, and any listing-specific information shown at the time of a transaction.

7. Records and evidence

Where a workflow creates order, listing, payment, verification, delivery or communication records, those records may be used to understand what happened and to resolve a support request or dispute. Users should keep relevant receipts, photographs, messages, tracking information and other evidence until the matter is resolved.

8. User responsibility

Users are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping account credentials secure, reviewing important order details before confirming a transaction and promptly reporting material problems through the official Gadget Trade support channels.

9. Policy updates

Gadget Trade may update this policy when marketplace workflows, security requirements, payment processes, delivery arrangements or applicable requirements change. The current version published on Gadget Trade is the version that applies to new activity after publication.
